VantageFX Broker Review 2017

  • Min. Deposit $100
  • Min. Invest $10
  • Return 85%

Owned and operated by Vantage Global Prime Pty Ltd, broker Vantage FX became available for binary options trading in 2009.

This is an Australian broker which, aside from trading binary options provides the opportunity for Forex trading too.

This is a regulated broker and in our Vantage FX broker review we will present South African traders with a clear overview of what this broker has to offer and what might be considered advantages of selecting this broker to do binary trading.

Vantage FX General Info South Africa

As is the norm, all who wish to engage in trading with this broker first have to register and deposit funds. However, the first advantage we noticed in our Vantage FX broker review is that their minimum deposit is set at $100 which is lower than the $250 which most brokers have as the benchmark.

Minimum investment sum is also favourable and is $10 per trade. With this broker, all interested South African traders might hope to achieve up to 85% returns.

Vantage FX deposit currencies are AUD, USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, SGD, JPY and NZD which certainly provides traders with a fine choice.

Traders from USD, Iraq, Nigeria, Iran and Afghanistan cannot participate in binary options trading with Vantage FX.

Vantage FX Trading Platform and Features

The first aspect which we found to be most important for our Vantage FX broker review is their trading platform and features. We found that their choice of trading software is not surprising as they opted to use TechFinancials, a name well-known in the industry and used by plenty of binary brokers.

What South African traders can look forward to is a MetaTrader 4 trading platform which takes the quality and the overall experience of binary options trading to a whole new level. It is also possible to access over 112 markets via their platform.

With obvious attention to detail, Vantage FX trading platform made good use of colours as most important details are highlighted by either green or red while the rest of the platform favours grey and black.

The platform itself is simple and South African traders should not experience any issues in navigating it. Additionally, in our Vantage FX broker review we also found that there is no need for traders to download the platform as it is accessible from any web browser which makes it more convenient to use.

Considering their modern approach, it is not surprising that Vantage FX also offers their registered traders plenty of trading options in conjunction with expiry times and underlying assets.

Available trading options list the following: Short Term, Boundary, One Touch and High/Low.

Naturally, expiry times are dependant of the option selected but South African traders will note that they include times which are as short as 60 sec and continue with 2 min, 5 min, 15 min, 30 min etc. Their underlying asset list is also diverse and contains 45 currency pairs, commodities and indices.

In our Vantage FX broker review we also determined they do offer one of the most interesting and desired trading features which is the demo account.

In communication with their customer support we determined that the demo account free of charge. All traders need to do if they want to use the demo account is to register, and they are not required to make a deposit.

The reason why demo account presents such a huge benefit is its practising purpose. Because the demo account, which has virtual funds instead of the real ones, presents a safe environment where inexperienced traders get to practice before the actual trading takes place.

The South African traders which would like to use Vantage FX demo account just need to select “Demo Account” button which they can find in the right upper corner on the trading platform and supply the standard personal information (name, phone, email, country of residence) and which trading they want to do – Forex or binary options.

After that they will be given instant access to the demo account.

In our Vantage FX broker review we also noticed they offer a mobile trading app, which can be a fantastic trading tool for busy binary options traders. Their mobile app which uses MT4 platform is suitable for both Android and iPhone mobile devices. The app can be downloaded from Google Play store and iTunes.

Another benefit of this broker, which we also discovered in the course of our Vantage FX broker review, is their Education tab which holds amazing selection of helpful materials such as webinars, MT4 manuals and videos and MT4 trading tools videos which means that traders can upgrade their knowledge and improve their trading skills at any time.

Along with English, Vantage FX platform is available in Chinese too.

Vantage FX Customer Support Service

Another important aspect for traders in general is customer support service. In our Vantage FX broker review we tested their customer support response and we are happy to report they were swift, professional and forthcoming.

This broker provides customer support service from Monday to Friday and is available at all hours during that time span. The South African traders may use the phone, email or live chat options to contact this broker.

The listed phone numbers are for UK, Australia, China and Canada with the additional number given for International customers (+61 2 8999 2044).

For traders who would like to communicate via email, they should send all their queries to [email protected]

Since Vantage FX also has a great and detailed FAQ section, it might be a good idea to inspect it prior to contacting customer support.

Vantage FX Banking Info

The final segment in this Vantage FX broker review is dedicated to their banking policy.

We are pleased to report that this broker uses a segregated account where traders’ funds are kept, and the account is with National Australia Bank (NAB).

Additionally, they also use additional protection on their platform (indicated by the green padlock and HTTPS mark in the URL) which makes certain all sensitive financial and personal info is secure.

The withdrawal process requires that South African traders submit the standard documentation to prove the identity of the trader. The documents can be sent with the application when a trader is opening the trading account.

Manual withdrawal form which then has to be sent to [email protected] is one way of initiating a withdrawal process while the other is by using the online withdrawal form.

A further benefit which we discovered in our Vantage FX broker review is that they put in the effort to process all withdrawals on the same day. For withdrawal requests sent prior to 12:00 AEST (or 02:00 GMT) will be processed the same day.

Available payment methods South African traders may use are:

  • E-wallets: Neteller and Skrill
  • Credit/debit cards: MasterCard and Visa
  • Bank wire: International SWIFT
  • BPay, POLi Payments and bank wire Australia may be used only by Australian traders and currency is AUD.

Vantage FX does not charge a fee for withdrawals or deposits and they do not have a minimal withdrawal amount set.
